Was browsing Japanese sites today and found this travel alarm clock. My dad owned one that I use to covet. Glad it's making a comeback.

Stops Along the Way

Made a few stops to and from our campsite. Wish we could have seen more but we were anxious to set up our tents. There's so much of California that I haven't seen.

Camping

Back from camping and exhausted. As much as I complain about the inconveniences I would do it again and again because quality time with family and friends is truly priceless. Took lots of photos and will share some of those with you in the coming days. I only hope that your weekend was just as great as mine.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day in which we commemorate the men and women who have died while in the military service. My father did not die in combat but he was an army lifer like many of his old friends. 

I think a lot about him every Memorial Day because the army wasn't an easy life. It was a sacrifice he made to assure that his large family would have greater opportunities in the U.S. and we did. Thanks, pops! I salute you and I love you!

Just Curious

Soon enough my family probably won’t let me in their house with a camera for fear that I may photograph their closet, garage, or cupboard. I get these ideas in my head and I run with them whether or not the concepts are good. Anyway, I was just curious to know, "what’s on your fridge door?"

Dancing in the Park

On Saturday despite intermittent rain showers we watched our niece perform at an outdoor event in Golden Gate Park. The gala, Dancing in The Park 2009, features performances from more than 40 dance companies and dance artists from the Bay Area. It is one of the many free dance events commemorating National Dance Week.  

My niece is an incredible dancer and it’s been wonderful to see her flourish in dance. We are so proud of her dedication and total commitment to her art. We know she will never cease to amaze us.

Doting Aunt

I have very talented nieces and nephews who love to draw and paint. The two designs above were created by my nine-year old niece and aptly titled, “Drippy Mountains” and “Drippy Bottle".
