IWM Shop

Been to London several times but I’ve never visited the Imperial War Museum probably because I’m not particularly keen on wars. However, I do like their online shop especially their retro section on vintage finds:

“We work with a number of individual makers to create beautiful, bespoke one-off pieces. Our handmade embroidered purses give a new lease of life to vintage embroidery, reflecting the ‘Make Do and Mend’ ethos of caring for and reusing your old clothes and textiles.”

I’ll have to visit them on my next trip to London as I’d like to learn a little bit more about the sacrifices the families at home had to make.
