Been mulling over the color harmonies of German designer, Lars Contzen, on his website, Colour Courage, hoping to apply those sensibilities to my home. Love the bold and vibrant colors of his surface designs, of which he says:
“We all know the small patterns of previous decades, which were mostly boring because they had a permanent repeat inside the composition. My ideas was to create something which is more related to art than to patterns.”
“Color is very important, but no color such as white of black is equally important. Every color or ‘non-color’ activates a special emotional reaction.”
