Like to read accounts of people who have a particular need and creatively fill it. Such is the story of the creator of this Japanese brand, Marca. Having poor circulation and sensitive skin, the designer hand-crafted these great house shoes using a soft “machine-washable” material that does not irritate her skin, keeps her feet warm and fills her need.

You have to admire this artist’s skill of micro origami. I have a hard enough time folding a 6” square let alone attempting to fold a 1/4”. These amazing designs are sold at Etsy Toronto-based shop, Paper Peaches. My friend at Fanshefolds introduced me to this shop and I’m so glad she did.

Love these fabric ribbons from Etsy shop, Knot & Bow. Erin Ozer launched the business in July 2010 whose “inspiration comes from uncomplicated, old school applications - a sandwich wrapped in simple brown butcher paper or a fresh cake from the bakery bound with cherry red twine. Products are handmade, designed in house, or procured with a discerning eye from a variety of time-honored American industrial suppliers."
